The Locals’ Showcase
What is it?
The Locals Showcase is an annual event as part of the Campbell River Festival of Film that celebrates the creativity of northern Vancouver Island’s vibrant film community. It offers an opportunity to connect with local filmmakers and view a diverse collection of short films that highlight unique perspectives and artistic voices within our region.
Submitting
We welcome new, emerging and experienced/professional independent filmmakers with short films (25 minutes or less). Preference will be given to films that have been filmed in the Vancouver Island North Film Commission region, or created by filmmakers/crew who live in this region.
No screening fees or awards are available. All proceeds go to the Campbell River Festival of Film bursary program or Tidemark Theatre equipment needs.
The next Locals Showcase will take place during the Winter 2027 season.
